In November 2025, China's stainless steel import volume was 112,100 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 12,000 tons, a decrease of 10%; a year-on-year decrease of 18,100 tons, a decrease of 14%. Among them, the import volume from Indonesia was 87,300 tons, a decrease of 16% month-on-month and a year-on-year decrease of 17%. The volume of stainless steel imported from South Korea, Taiwan, China and other regions showed a month-on-month increase, while imports from Indonesia, Japan, Vietnam and other regions decreased month-on-month. In November, the top five stainless steel importing regions totaled 104,700 tons, accounting for 93.34% of total imports.
From January to November 2025, China's stainless steel imports totaled 1.3742 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 365,300 tons, or 21%. Among them, 1.1044 million tons were imported from Indonesia, a year-on-year decrease of 24%; the amount of stainless steel imported from Vietnam increased year-on-year, with an increase of 359%.
In November 2025, China exported a total of 405,300 tons of stainless steel, a month-on-month increase of 46,600 tons, an increase of 13%; a year-on-year decrease of 35,200 tons, a decrease of 8%. Among them, the volume of stainless steel exported to Vietnam was 54,900 tons, a month-on-month increase of 17,200 tons, or 45%; the volume of stainless steel exported to Thailand, Indonesia, South Korea, Russia, South Korea and other regions showed a month-on-month increase. In November, China's top 20 stainless steel export regions totaled 324,800 tons, accounting for 80.14% of total exports.
From January to November 2025, China's stainless steel exports totaled 4.5462 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 45,900 tons, or 1%. Exports to Vietnam were 479,800 tons, an increase of 58,900 tons year-on-year, an increase of 14%. In November, the volume of stainless steel exported to Malaysia, Pakistan, Thailand, Indonesia and other regions showed a year-on-year increase. The top 20 stainless steel export regions totaled 3.5349 million tons, accounting for 77.76% of total exports.
In November 2025, the total net export volume was 293,200 tons, a month-on-month increase of 59,200 tons, an increase of 25.30%; a year-on-year decrease of 15,900 tons, a decrease of 5.14%.
From January to November 2025, the total net export volume was 3.172 million tons, an increase of 328,900 tons year-on-year, an increase of 11.57%.

2. China’s total nickel ore imports from January to November were 40.2704 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 10.1%
In November 2025, the import volume of nickel ore was 333.95 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 28.69% and a year-on-year increase of 2.92%. Among them, 3.0213 million tons of nickel ore were imported from the Philippines, a month-on-month decrease of 30.49% and a year-on-year increase of 4.66%.
From January to November 2025, the total import volume of nickel ore was 40.2704 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 10.1%. Among them, the amount of nickel ore imported from the Philippines was 36.5554 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 9.66%.
3. China’s total ferronickel imports from January to November were 10.1533 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 27.2%
In November 2025, ferronickel imports were 895,400 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 1.07% and a year-on-year increase of 1.44%. Among them, the import volume of ferronickel from Indonesia was 873,400 tons, a decrease of 1.2% month-on-month and an increase of 2.1% year-on-year.
From January to November 2025, the total import volume of ferronickel was 10.1533 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 27.2%. Among them, the import volume of ferronickel from Indonesia was 9.8988 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 28.7%.
4. China’s total refined nickel imports from January to November were 207,800 tons, a year-on-year increase of 163.1%
In November 2025, the import volume of refined nickel was 12,700 tons, an increase of 30.07% month-on-month and a year-on-year increase of 40.86%. Among them, 0.9 million tons of refined nickel was imported from Russia, a month-on-month decrease of 17.33% and a year-on-year decrease of 84.87%.
From January to November 2025, the total import volume of refined nickel was 207,800 tons, a year-on-year increase of 163.1%. Among them, 75,500 tons of refined nickel were imported from Russia, a year-on-year increase of 104.8%.
